Meet Natalie

Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor

Seeking support is often a significant step and one that requires courage. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feel stuck and overwhelmed, therapy can provide a dedicated space to explore your experiences and better understand yourself.

I believe that every person has a unique story and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. For this reason, I work integratively, drawing on Person-Centred Therapy, Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

My aim is not to tell you what to do or provide quick fixes. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and support you in creating meaningful change.

Therapy offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we can explore both current difficulties and the experiences that may have shaped them, helping you move forward with greater clarity, confidence and self-compassion.

I look forward to working with you.

My Approach

I work integratively meaning I draw on several evidence-based approaches to tailor therapy to your individual needs. Rather than working from a single model, I integrate Person-Centred Therapy, Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

This allows us to explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also how past experiences may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, relationships and sense of self.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy is based on the belief that people have an innate capacity for growth and change.

At the heart of this approach is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a safe, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences openly and honestly.

This approach emphasises empathy, authenticity and acceptance, helping you develop a stronger understanding of yourself and greater trust in your own experiences.

Attachment Theory

Attachment Theory helps us understand how early relationships can shape the way we experience ourselves, others and the world around us.

Our early experiences often influence how safe we feel in relationships, how we manage emotions and how we respond to closeness, conflict and vulnerability.

Together we may explore these patterns and consider how they continue to affect your current relationships and emotional wellbeing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and behaviours.

Sometimes unhelpful thinking patterns or deeply held beliefs can contribute to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and other difficulties.

CBT can help identify these patterns and develop more balanced and compassionate ways of responding.

Trauma-Informed Practice

I work from a trauma-informed perspective, recognising the impact that difficult or overwhelming experiences can have on emotional wellbeing.

Where relevant, therapy will proceed at a pace that feels safe and manageable, with a focus on emotional regulation, safety and stability before exploring more difficult experiences.

Your wellbeing remains central throughout our work together.
